Description
Lovely rosewood, twin pedestal, desk, made in Denmark in the 1960s.
The desk top and body is rosewood veneer on engineered board, with a solid rosewood banding around the edge of the top. The desk has twin pedestals, with three drawers in each; both top drawers are lockable, and the key is included. The drawers have machine dovetail joints, beech sides and a pine back. Drawer fronts are pine, with rosewood veneer, and feature Demi-lune, concave, cast brass, drawer pulls. The back is finished as one big open shelf that acts as a modesty board for the sitter, so the desk can sit in the middle of the room. The whole piece is raised on turned, tapering, solid beech, legs.
