Description
Description
A slim, vertically oriented, mahogany framed mirror. Most probably made in the UK, c. late 1800s.
This elegant late Victorian mirror is encased in a solid mahogany, moulded frame with an arched top; the back of mirror is also enclosed in solid wood. The mirror features it’s original glass, which has a shaped bevelled edge, and is 4mm thick – a sign of good quality. The mirror is silvering a little at it’s top (see photos) but this doesn’t affect it’s function, and, we think, adds to the piece’s charm.
This versatile mirror would work well in a range of design schemes, including arts and crafts, cottage, rustic, boho, and industrial.
